Cost
The fee for Cub Scouts, Venturers, Explorers coming for Saturday will be $15. The fee for Webelos, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers and leaders spending the entire weekend will be $25.The fee will include your emblem.
Cub Scouts
Those Cub Scouts graduating from the first and second grades (wolfs and bears by June 4) are invited to attend ScoutQuest 100 on Saturday. Special parking and programs are available for you. Parking and check-in will begin at 7:00 am at the Upper MUNY lot and program will begin at 8:00. As you check-in you will receive your emblems, wristbands, and printed guide for the day. You will need to hand-in a roster of your Cubs and leaders in attendance. You will be able to register Scouts and leaders at theparking lot, but you will pay a premium. Registration at the Upper MUNY will end at 11:00 am, so if you plan to arrive later than that, please have someone from your pack pick-up your materials and meet you. We hope that you plan on staying through the huge campfire show on Art Hill which begins at 8:00 pm and ends by 10:00 with fireworks. Your parking is only a short distance away from Art Hill. You are also invited to return on Sunday morning and attend the religious services of your choice beginning at 8:30 am. Although we will be having program following services, none will be set-aside for Cub Scouts. Although your Pack registration is due by April 12, individual registrations are not due then. We ask that you send in individual registrations as you receive them, to help our planning. Don't wait for those last Cubs who are late with everything (you know who they are). Those who wait and register after June 3 will pay a premium. We ask that leaders registered with the BSA register and pay for the event (you will receive a wristband and emblem). Parents who are helping you for the day have the option of registering for the event. Since this is a day activity for wolfs and bears, one-on-one supervision is not required. Please use common sense in your Scout/adult ratio.
Webelos
Webelos (Scouts graduating from the third and fourth grades) have two options: camp for the weekend, or Saturday day only. The fees for the two options vary. Webelos register through their Cub Pack regardless of the option they choose. There is no discount for choosing to stay only one night. Each district has the option of camping Webelos in a group, or assigning Webelos dens to camp with a neighboring Boy Scout troop. Check with your district on their plan. Webelos leaders of dens camping will be issued your overnight parking passes, wristbands and emblems when you check-in on Friday afternoon at your district headquarters. BSA regulations for leadership on Webelos overnight experiences require one-on-one Webelos/adult ratio. We know that there are those parents of some Webelos that you are not about to get out to camp with you. We just ask that you use common sense. Please don't send one or two leaders out with eight Webelos. Just like Cub Scout leaders, we ask that registered leaders register and pay for the weekend. The other parents that you bring along to help have the option.
Youth who are not members of the BSA are not able to camp overnight.
For Webelos that opt out of camping for the weekend (boo!) you will follow the guidelines of the Cub Scouts (see above).
Siblings
Siblings are welcome to visit on Saturday if accompanied by their parent. They do not pay, and will not be able to participate in activities. They can watch the demonstrations, and visit the displays. They will not be allowed to stay overnight in the Park. They are welcome to attend the campfire show on Art Hill and return for religious services on Sunday morning.
Sign-up information
ScoutQuest 100 unit sign-up information kits were distributed at your February roundtable and mailed directly to our Crews and Posts. Included in your packet are your trading post pre-order and registration form. We ask that units submit their unit registration by April 12. We ask that individual registrations be submitted in groups as you receive them. Don't wait for those last few to commit. It will be very difficult to plan for your unit if we do not receive individual registrations until late May. Those registrations that we receive after June 3 will pay a premium.
Individual staff members (18 and up) are able to sign-up using forms that are available on this website.
Trading Post
Most of the ScoutQuest 100 souvenir items will be offered on a pre-purchase plan. You will even be able to pick-up your items prior to the weekend. You won't want your Scouts waiting in line during this event, and items at the event will be limited. So order your SQ 100 items early! We will not take orders for items that we run out of at the event. So if you want it, order ahead!
Camping
Each District will be camping in their own sub-camp throughout the Park. Venturers and Explorers will be camping in a dedicated area right next to the Grand Basin.
Our 2010 National Jamboree troops will be camping together at the base of the World’s Fair Pavilion Hill and having a model Jamboree campsite complete with gateways.
Parking
Each unit camping the entire weekend will be issued a limited number of parking passes that will allow you to have vehicles parked on the streets and in designated lots near your campsite overnight. All trailers and additional vehicles will be allowed to park in specially designated spots at Forest Park Community College and at Washington University.
Cub Scouts and their leaders that will be coming-in for a Saturday only experience should come directly to the Upper MUNY parking lot on Saturday morning, where we have 845 spots dedicated for this purpose. You will be able to check-in right there and move out into the Park to start having fun.
Medical
The St. Louis Police Department, the St. Louis Fire Department and hospitals close to the Park are offering their services to support our event. Minor first-aid will be available in the program areas. Leaders of units should bring copies of the medical forms of your participants and keep them with you. Units should also be prepared with a first-aid kit. Cub Scout leaders coming in for Saturday should toss a small first-aid kit in your day pack.
Lewis and Clark Council
We welcome the newly-formed Lewis and Clark Council BSA from Southern Illinois that will join us for the weekend. As our partner, they will also be bringing program opportunities for all to participate in.
